On May 18, the Sussex Lions Club partnered with Blind Outdoor Leisure Development (BOLD) to bring the community together for cycling and hiking at Lisbon Park. BOLD’s purpose is to allow the blind and visually impaired to experience outdoor sports and leisure activities while developing their social and athletic skills.
Sussex Lions Club members coordinated with BOLD leaders and the Tour de Friends cycling club to create fun memories for 20 visually impaired persons. This year's event saw a record number of participants!
Much appreciation was expressed by bikers and hikers to the Sussex Lions Club for sponsoring a fantastic lunch! Thank you to all volunteers and participants who made the day possible.
